Getting Started

Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Alexander Family Foundation. We are committed to supporting both organizations and individuals whose work and goals align with our mission and key initiatives. Before submitting a request for support, please review the eligibility criteria below to ensure your application is a good fit.

Organization Requirements

The organization must be either a qualified 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that is tax-exempt as defined by the Internal Revenue Code, a federally recognized public school, or a governmental agency.
The provided funding should support work that aligns with at least one of AFF’s three Key Initiatives.
The organization will not utilize funding for political activities, endowments, or past operating deficits.
Organizations may request in-kind support as an alternative to monetary support.

Individual Requirements

AFF’s funding for individuals is intended exclusively to support individuals in pursuing educational advancement. Funding may be used for the following purposes: pursuing academic studies at an accredited educational institution or assisting with costs associated with academic/professional advancement, such as testing and licensing fees. Individual requests for any other type of support will not be considered.
The individual must be able to provide proof of enrollment in or proof of completion from an accredited educational institution, depending on the funds requested.
The individual will not utilize funding for personal purchases, entertainment, or educational pursuits without a recognized regulatory board or governing authority.

The Process

Plan

Please review the eligibility requirements carefully before applying. Ensure you have all required supporting documentation available, such as an IRS determination letter or proof of enrollment, and be prepared to clearly explain how the requested funding will be used.
Apply

Please complete the appropriate Request for Funding application below. Ensure all required fields are completed in full, then click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the form to submit your request.
Review

Please allow up to 14 business days for the Foundation to review your application. During the review process, we may contact you to request additional information and/or supporting documentation. Timely responses to these requests will help avoid delays during this process.
Notification

Once the review process is complete, the Foundation will provide written notification regarding the outcome of your funding request.
